Anton was one of seven children born July 6, 1931 to Louis and Katherine Fabrygel in Midfield, Texas. He graduated from Blessing High School in 1948 and enlisted in the United States Navy. He served in the Navy in a Service Support Command position for the Pacific Fleet from 1948 until 1953. Upon his honorable discharge from the Navy, he settled in Houston, Texas where he met his beautiful bride and wife of 53 years, Dorothy Ann (Lucas) Fabrygel.
Anton worked in the hotel guest services industry for over 40 years and when he was not working, he spent his time in his garden and going polka dancing every weekend. He was an avid reader, bingo player and loved to be outdoors spending time with his wife, his children and his grandchildren whenever he could. He was a joyful soul with a larger than life smile and even bigger heart. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Anton is survived by his wife, Dorothy Ann Fabrygel, his two daughters, Doris Ann Bronikowski and her husband Robert of Jersey Village, and Kimberly Renee Woodall and her husband Charles of New Braunfels; four grandchildren, Ryan Anton Bronikowski, Katherine Denae Bronikowski of Jersey Village, and Cameron Joseph Woodall and Briana Renee Woodall of New Braunfels; his sisters Helen (Fabrygel) Mozley, Anne (Fabrygel) Savage, his brothers Louis and Frank Fabrygel and numerous nieces, nephews and relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Katherine, brother Robert Fabrygel and sister Rose (Fabrygel) Williamson.
The Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at 10:00am in the Chapel of Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer Rd., Houston, Texas 77077. The Graveside Service will immediately follow the service at 11:00am. All guests in attendance are required to wear a mask.
