Thetus "Woody" Ivan Siltman

East Peoria – Thetus I. “Woody” Siltman, 76, of East Peoria, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2020 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 17, 1944 in Canton to Woodrow B. and Maxine (Boggs) Siltman. He married Sally J. Leverton on June 18, 1966 in East Peoria. She survives.

Woody is also survived by his two children, Brad (Maria) Siltman of Dallas, TX and Becki (Tyler) Seibert of Hanna City; six grandchildren, Kenzie, Michael, Marra, Josh, Alexa, and Wyatt; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Joyce Dianne Grant.

Woody served his country in the Air National Guard during the Vietnam War and was awarded the Airman of the Year Award. He was a graduate of Bradley University, receiving his bachelor’s degree in business management.

Woody last worked as a senior IT supervisor for Caterpillar, Inc. in East Peoria retiring in 2002 after 40 years of service. He was an avid golfer, loved to travel, and especially enjoyed attending his grandkids’ sporting events.

Woody's memorial visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at the Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dream Center in Peoria.
