Bruce Melancon a native of Baton Rouge, La and resident of Central passed away on October 10, 2020 at 9:51 am at the age of 40. Bruce had such a big heart and was so loved by so many people! He had a passion for anything auto or truck related and was always ready and willing to help anyone when needed. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Doyle and Marjorie Melancon and his Nanny Joi Ellen Samson Watts. He is survived by his mother Robin Samson Melancon; father, Keith Melancon and his wife Michelle; grandparents, Joe and Sylvia Samson III. He is also survived by his daughter Alani Kidwell; sister, Aimee Lamonte and her husband Joey; brother, Kevin Melancon and his wife Angela; niece, Kaitlyn Lamonte; nephews, Brennan and Gavin Lamonte and Brayden and Tate Melancon.
A visitation for Bruce will be held Tuesday, October 13, 2020 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Central Funeral Home, 9995 Hooper Rd, Central. The Mass of Christian Burial will occur Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at 12:00 pm at St. Alphonsus Ligouri Catholic Church, 14040 Greenwell Springs Rd, Greenwell Springs, LA 70818.The burial will immediately follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park, 9595 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge.
