Patricia was born in Pickens County on September 15, 1944, daughter of the late Clarence Powell and Hattie Porter Powell. Patricia worked for many years at Alice Manufacturing, Elljean Plant. She enjoyed getting her family together and cooking meals. Patricia had a green thumb, she could plant or pot anything and get it to grow. She loved flowers, especially the Christmas cactus. During her stay at AnMed Rehabilitation in Anderson, she began playing Bingo and was almost impossible to beat. She enjoyed visiting the Pickens Flea Market every Wednesday and camping at Eastatoee. She was of the Independent Baptist Faith.
Surviving are her husband of 52 years, Fred Duncan of the home; two sons, Greg Duncan (Leigh Ann) of Easley and Scott Duncan of the home; two grandchildren, Skye Grant (Benjamin) of Seneca and Dexter Duncan (Destiny) of Pickens; three great-grandchildren, Grayson and Asher Duncan and Willow Grant; two sisters, Bonnie Reeves of Simpsonville and Louise Duncan (James) of Anderson and one brother Wallace Powell (Faye) of Pickens. Patricia was preceded in death by nine brothers and one sister.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday October 14, 2020, at 3 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
