Martha L. Tassinari

She was born June 30, 1946 in the town of Winchester, MA. to the late Roy and Grace (Seaboyer) Bousfield and grew up in Monument Beach. She is survived by the love of her life, her husband John, and their son John S. Tassinari and Selena of Sandwich. She is also survived by her brother Paul Bousfield and Linda of Sandwich along with many nieces and nephews.

As a child she got to travel to Europe with her mother, while her father worked in the oil fields in Saudi Arabia. Martha graduated from Bourne High School and married her high school sweetheart on September 5, 1964. In later years, she enjoyed many trips to Disney World with all the kid’s family and friends. Martha was an awesome cook, excellent cake decorator, bowler and loved gardening. She also worked alongside her husband and son on their cranberry bog. Her greatest joy was when her son was young, watching and encouraging him in sports, attending just about every event he was in. She spent many hours bundled up at Gallo rink, or at the high school gym, or baseball field, never missing a game. She doted on her many nieces and nephews and loved children, baking them her famous chocolate chip cookies, making her home made tortellinis, or hosting parties around her pool.

She is at peace now and will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and neighbors.

Friends and family are welcome to attend a visitation on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 154 Route 6A, Sandwich, MA from 10AM to 12pm, followed by a burial at Sandwich Town Cemetery, Route 130 Sandwich, MA.
