Elaine was born June 29, 1941 to Ida Bendorf. Her mother worked cleaning houses to raise her four children. Elaine remained close to her siblings, and is survived by her brother Duane Bendorf.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Normen and Marlene; and granddaughter, Jennifer Swaggert.
Elaine met her husband Charles in 1957. They fell in love, got married, and celebrated 43 wonderful years of marriage. After their wedding they lived in Owatonna until moving to the Twin Cities area, then to Fridley, Coon Rapids, and Blaine. Elaine worked for twenty-one years at American Linen, retiring in 2005 due to disability.
Elaine and Charles raised four children, and Elaine always made them her priority. Her children describe her as a wonderful mom and devoted grandma. She enjoyed family visits and was a faithful Christian; transferring to St. Phillips in October of 1996.
She enjoyed roller-skating and dining with her husband. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren would always make her smile. She was most proud of her childrens' baptisms and confirmations, along with their weddings and births. She passed at Park River Estates on November 4th, 2020.
Elaine is survived by her children, Judy (Jack) Swaggert, Donna, Jim, and Janet Fisher; grandchildren, Carol (George) Wilson, Robert McDonald, Julie Belford, Ailana and Elizabeth Fisher; great-grandchildren, Shaunna Wilson, Eva Leigh Fisher, Jermiah, Isaiah, and Zechariah Collins, Austin Belford, and Isabelle McDonald. She will be missed dearly, and remembered always.
Please join us on Saturday, November 14th, at Gearhart Anoka Chapel, 552 East River Road, Anoka, MN, for visitation from 10 am - 11 am, service at 11 am, and burial at Morningside Memorial Gardens, 11800 University Ave NE North, Coon Rapids, MN, at 12:15 pm.
