Daisy Mae (Spencer) Tatham, 80, of Gastonia died on Tuesday November 10, 2020. Daisy was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her husband was in the military and she was a devoted military wife. She raised three boys. She was a sweet sole that never said anything bad about anyone. She was notorious for taking care of everyone else. Her family will miss her homemade potato candy. She loved her little dog, Joey. She will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Daisy is preceded in death by her husband Willie Tatham and a son, John F. Tatham. Her brother Gene A. Spencer and his wife Carolyn and brother Ronald L. Spencer also precede her in death.
Left to cherish their memories of Daisy are her sons, Jeffrey A. Tatham and Daniel B. Tatham and his wife Angela. Her daughter-in law, Kimberly Tatham and sister, Deborah Clanton and her husband Richard also grieve the loss of Daisy. Missing their grandmother are Summer Payne and her husband Brandon, Mitchel Tatham, Evan Tatham and great-grandchild Joshua Revels.
A celebration of Daisy’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 15th, 2020 at Carothers Funeral Home Chapel, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia. The family will receive friends before the service beginning at 1:00 PM in the Chapel. Burial will follow in the Garden of Gethsemane at Gaston Memorial Park. Reverend Roger Overton will offer words of encouragement and hope to those that gather to remember Daisy. Daniel Tatham, Evan Tatham, Mitchel Tatham, Joshua Revels, Andy Davis and Dwayne Coker will serve as pallbearers.
