So sad to hear the news about Sarah Jane’s passing. Lots of great memories of Sarah Jane and her laughter that filled a room. My mom a she used to get together from the time they were teenagers working at the Junior league outgrown show in center city Philadelphia. When they weren’t busy they used to teach girls “The Charleston “ then the would go to Jewelers row and shop for bangle bracelets. They used to go to lunch and sometimes I would tag along and in order to keep me quiet she would promise me a banana split! I never got to get that banana split! Even at my wedding she joked about that banana split. Well kiddo when I get to heaven the first thing I’m going to do is hit you up for that banana split sister. All my love to you Billy Brown I’m sure she will miss you most of all. 

SaraJane was so treasured by our family. My mother Jane Harrington grew up together and still telling countless funny  stories of SaraJane. Our family also spent many happy years with her. My mom is just so sad  to hear that her lifelong best friend has passed. 
My brother named his daughter after SaraJane. To say that she will be missed is an understatement. Our family adored her and her memories are instilled in each of us. We loved her dearly. God Bless you Billy Brown.

Bill,  I never had the pleasure of meeting your mother, but if she was half as dedicated and loyal as you are, then I can only imagine the incredible impact she had on so many. Hang in there, my friend. May you find some comfort in knowing that she is in a far better place now. Love, Joan

Sara jane and my mother, Margaret Skinner were life long friends. There are some old film reels recording our families merrily playing together in Old Cape May. Sara jane had a wonderful happy strong cheerful spirit. She was devoted to her family, especially to her loving son. Billy. Her beliefs in God, Country and Family are carried forward by her friends and family. Sara jane loved people and animals. Her happy positive nature made it so much fun to be around her.  I will never forget my loving Aunt Jane. 

It is extremely difficult to try to summarize such a loving friend to me, my family and especially to my late mother, Margaret Skinner.  SaraJane and my mother had a very special bond during their lifetimes. They all laughed together, visited one another's families, loved each other's pets, grew up together during their childhood summers at the beach, hotels, dances, cocktails on our porch and in their homes. They traveled through life together; good times and bad - always there for one another. These friendships are like diamonds...forever sparkling in our hearts and memories. SaraJane held both innocent wonder, faith in God and devotion both to her family and closest friends. How I wish there could have been one more visit, one more beautiful smile and happy laughter.  My sister and I will always cherish our happy times, remember her earnest generosity and happy loving spirit, till we may all meet again. We share Bill and Betsy's sorrow with such a heartfelt loss.
