First and foremost, my thoughts and prayers go out to Rodger’s family and friends. I moved to Bensalem in 1997 and only lived there for a few years, but Rodger, Bob, Jason and a bunch of other great guys who played hockey together invited me out one time and that was all it took for me to be hooked. I also played with Rodger on the Predators like some others and I always remember him being a very outspoken, confident and most importantly wise crack of a guy. I somehow stumbled upon this very unfortunate page and had to, without a doubt, let you know that even though I only knew Rodger for just a couple of years and was not as close of friends as others were, he had an extremely memorable character and spirit and I’ll always remember Rodger for that. I know he’s smiling down on every one he loves. God bless him, his family and friends.

I'll remember Rodger as a caring friend, when I broke my leg in second grade he came over to my house to play and brought me a comic book to read.  I remember being so happy a friend came to see me and spend the afternoon playing. Even though we lost touch throughout the years I always remember him as a great friend. I'll never forget you Rodger.

It’s been about a week since Rodger’s been gone. I don’t  know if it’s ever really going to sink in that he’s not around anymore. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. I hope it brings them solace to know that Rodger is a great person full of life and fun. We used to go to the gym together almost  everyday. I looked up to him as he taught me everything I know now about working out. I hope he’s at peace now and watching down on us. Happy Birthday brother. I’ll miss you.

Its been a few years since Rodger & I spoke but when I heard the news Monday it hit very hard. My 1st thought was of all of you. The 2nd was a title wave of memories & emotion. You see Rodger was one of my 1st friends at Valley in 5th grade when I transferred from St. Ephrem’s. We hit it off instantly. From loving rock & heavy metal to action movies, our friendship grew. As if that wasn’t enough our love for hockey really brought us together. As boys playing hockey at Valley, to going through our adolescence years together in middle school playing for the Predators at Roller Rama, to ice hockey as the bash brothers in high school. In between all of those years we developed an amazing friendship, like brothers. You were all so kind to me any time I stepped foot into your home. To having  Mr. Arnold as our coach with the Predators to always being at our hockey games in high school. Never shy about telling us if we played bad but to also let us know when we played well. During the time in between all of the hockey we went from boys, to teens, to men together. Unfortunately as life happens people get busy & lose touch which is unfortunate & that’s what happened with Rodger and I. I want to you to know that I will never forget the laughs, the moments, the blood, sweat, tears, sleepovers, party’s & everything else that me & Rodger experienced together. As I sit here writing this on his birthday, I always made it a point to reach out to him  because we share back to back birthdays. We called ourselves birthday brothers. Instead, I’m writing this to let you guys know that I love Rodger as a brother & that he will always hold a special place with me. I’m also writing this because I want you all to know that my sincerest thoughts and prayers are with you & my family, especially my mother, send nothing but the best. Rodger, you will be greatly missed I don't think you even knew how much u meant to me and Jenna. I will always remember u gettn me my one year coin gettn cake , gettn Suzy and everybody together at the house to present it. And for that I will be forever grateful.

I had chatted with R.J. two weeks ago and he promised to come visit me at Black Belt Academy however never showed.  I am so sorry to hear of his passing. My condolences to his family. I will always remember him as a young martial artist filled with spirit and talent.  One of our original Split Masters.   RIP


Rodger was a HS friend of mine, and over the past several years, we became quite close.  Roger's struggles helped so many other's and one his family should know and be proud of. I wish our hard times were able to help his, but please be proud of the inspiration he was to those he did help.  He touched so many lives and will be missed by so many.  We will miss you Rodger... i dont know if i ever got to thank you properly for all you did for me and my family,  so thank you. For just being you ♡  Rest easy and I hope you found all the peace and happiness up above. 

RIP, Rodger. I’ll miss you, our chats, check-ins, inside jokes & our friendship. I’ll still have your back even from above, bud. Glad we had the fun times we shared. Stay sweet, love!
