Shirley Francis (Blais) Durkot

She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years Emil Durkot; parents, Frank and Florence Blais; sister, Vergil (Harry) Olson.

Survived by son, Frank (Kathy) Durkot; daughter, Denice (Jerry) Conrad; grandchildren, Michael (Tammy) Conrad, Patrick (Kris) Conrad, Karla (Keith Pfiefer) Durkot, Lisa Durkot; great-grandchildren, Natalie Conrad, Sean (Stephanie) Conrad, Brooke (Mitchell Paquin) Conrad, Mallory (Nick Gjerstad) Conrad, Tareq Abu-Hijleh and Nadia Abu-Hijleh. And let us not forget great-great grandchildren, Scout, Sloan, Camden and Bernie.

Shirley a bright and proud woman was a long time resident of Golden Valley and served as a volunteer at North Memorial Hospital for 20 years. Also a longtime member of Vision Loss Resources where she continued to assist the sight impaired while suffering the effects of macular degeneration. Shirley loved and enjoyed her family until she was limited by her health issues. We will miss this grand always classy and sassy lady.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will take place on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 from 5:30pm to 8pm at Kapala Glodek Malone Funeral Home, 7800 Bass Lake Road, New Hope. Interment at Gethsemane Cemetery, New Hope.
