Barney Lewis Watts, Jr., 67, went home to be with his Lord Saturday, December 19, 2020. A Celebration of his Life will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue with visitation beginning at 2:00 PM. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Rev. Milton Bethune and David Templeton will officiate. Masks and social distancing are required to be in attendance at the service. Mr. Watts was born in Macon, Georgia the son of the late Myrtice Suddeth Watts and Barney Lewis Watts, Sr. He was a retired police officer for Mercer University and was a member of Gospel Tabernacle. Mr. Watts was an avid fisherman, a dedicated Christian, and was a United States Navy veteran.
Mr. Watts is survived by his "Babe" wife, Martha Arnette Watts; sister, Sharon Carroll (Wendell); brothers, Ronnie and Kenneth Watts; a number of nieces and nephews; aunt, Mary Brown (Charles); several cousins; and his 4 legged companion, Biscuit. Mr. Watts was better known to the kids as "Bo Bo".
