Doris M. Moser, 86, formerly of Gilbertsville and widow of the late Clarence R. Moser, passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Frederick Living, Zieglerville, PA. Born in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, she was the last surviving child of Lizzie (Christman) and Lloyd Johnson.
Doris was a graduate of Boyertown High School, class of 1951, and a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Boyertown, Pennsylvania.
Doris was an exceptional cook, baker, seamstress, quilter, and needle crafter. Her beautiful hand work will be enjoyed and cherished by her family for many generations. She loved growing colorful flowers outdoors, and she grew gorgeous violets and ferns indoors. In 2019, Doris and Clarence celebrated 67 years of marriage. They enjoyed hosting family for large holiday parties, and they spent countless hours playing bingo, participating in card clubs, and traveling. Doris also served as a Meals on Wheels volunteer for many years along with her husband.
Doris is survived by her loving children, Audrey Hafer, widow of Dennis E. Hafer of Bally; Anita Sanders, wife of Woody Sanders of Staunton, VA; and Roger Moser of Bally. Doris was a loving grandmother to five grandchildren - Jonathan, Kristen, Deric, Marisa and Tyler; and three great grandchildren - Hudson, Kylie and Carter. She was predeceased by her brother Ronald Johnson.
Private services will be held in the Limerick Garden of Memories Chapel of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum on Friday, January 8, 2021. Interment will be in the Limerick Garden of Memories.
