Violet Katherine Polotto

Violet grew up in Chicago and had many jobs in her life. Early on she worked as short-order cook and later she worked in construction offices. After their move to Cape Coral, Florida, they started a stone mason company and then also became a successful realtor. After retirement and a move to Georgia, she worked at Publix with her beloved husband where she had many laughs and made many lasting friendships. During her life, Violet enjoyed cooking, reading, going out for breakfast, watching Jeopardy, making friends….but most of all, she enjoyed her family…oh and let’s not forget those Lotto tickets!

Violet had a genuinely beautiful love story and was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 69 years, Salvadore “Sam” John Polotto. Violet was a dedicated mother to Janice Polotto-Ryan, Sam Polotto (sadly preceded her in death), and Christine Polotto-Wenzel. She was an adored grandmother (Nonnie) to Joe Polotto, Jennifer Polotto-Burr, David Ryan, Tiffany Wenzel-Michael, Samantha Wenzel-Press, Matthew Ryan, and Kelly Wenzel-Torres. She was also a darling great-grandmother to Kenzi Polotto, Austin Burr, Taylor Polotto, Zachary Burr, Hunter Press, Gianna Torres, Levi Michael, Logan Michael, Luke Michael, Isabella Torres, Vincent Torres, Emmanuel Torres, Giovanni Torres, and Gavin Press, and great-great Nonna to Everett Sam LaBelle.

Violet was also preceded in death by her father Charles Tabarracci, her mother Jean Tabarracci, her brother Leonard Tabarracci, and great grandson Emmanuel Torres.

A visitation will be held from 11:00am – 12:30pm on January 13, 2020 and funeral services will immediately follow at the Coral Ridge Funeral Home.
