Tanya was born March 16, 1973 in Fort Frances to the late Patricia Friday and Steven Mainville SR. Tanya loved being around family and would always go above and beyond for anyone in need. Tanya also loved to play bingo, she was quite fond of the bingo dabbers. One of Tanya’s favorite summer activities was attending powwows in the area as well as having a bonfire with her nieces.
Tanya really enjoyed singing and she was very good at it. Her go to artist to sing to was Tanya Tucker and would always wow people who haven’t heard her sing. Would also enjoy singing karaoke with her longtime friend Candace Morrisseau.
She will be missed by all and never wasted a chance to make someone smile.
She is predeceased by her mother Patricia Friday; Maternal Grandparents Jessie and Bud Friday; Paternal grandparents Hector and Mary Mainville; Maternal Auntie Valarie & Charlene Friday; Paternal Uncle Herman, Willard & Vernon Mainville and Paternal Aunties Nora, Donalda and Mary Jane Mainville.
She leaves behind her daughters Vanessa Mainville and Cassandra Friday(cassiebeans); father Steve Mainville Sr.; Brothers Jon Mainville, Steve Mainville JR(Hilary), Curtis Mainville and sisters Helen Cup, Brenda Friday, Michelle Mainville, Lori Mainville, Patti Mainville. Her partner George Echum, and her special friend Rodney Geyshick. Numerous aunts and uncles as well as nieces and nephews.
Active pallbearers are George Echum, Rodney Geyshick, Donovan Cup, Todd Morrisseau, Jon Mainville and Vern Horton.
Honorary pallbearers will be her Nieces Mackenzie, Madison and Isabella Mainville, Cailynn Bruyere and nephews Patrick and Seth Cup and all her extended family members.
Due to Covid regulations this will be a private funeral with a celebration of life to take place at a later date.
