He was born July 26, 1951 in Olney Texas to Robert and Norma Richardson. Mike grew up down around Olney Texas. He worked on the oil rig back in the early to mid 1970’s. Mike met Rita in 1978 in Lubbock Texas. September 1979 Mike and Rita both decided that it was time to sober up, they stayed sober until the day of their passing. Michael was a plumber for over 30 years before retiring, he was very thankful to M&M Plumbing for believing in him and giving him a chance. Mike retired from Scott Co. after 13 years of service with them. At the age of 65 Michael bought his first motorcycle,teaching himself how to ride he rode up until just a few months ago. He loved to ride, calling it his wind therapy this being his favorite thing to do. Michael loved when all his grandkids would all be together and have nerf gun fights, he soon bought his own tommy nerf gun making sure he had enough fire power for all those grandkids.
He is survived by his sons;William Turner, John Turner, and James Turner all from Amarillo, daughters; Eulla Leal and husband Randy of Amarillo, Rita Allen and wife Dallas of West Virginia, 23 Grandchildren,14 Great-Grandchildren, 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren with one on the way, Brothers; Bobby Richardson and wife Judy of Wichita Falls, Gary Richardson and wife Linda of Queens Australia, Sister; Tina Holland and husband David of Lubbock, 34 nieces and nephews.
Michael is preceded in death by his wife; Algerita Richardson, parents Robert and Norma Richardson, one daughter; June Turner, oldest brother; David Richardson.
Michael will be missed by both his family and friends.
