“Kathy Jean Hohman (Brannon), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on May 9th, 2024, at the age of 67. She was born on December 12th, 1956, in St. Louis, MO, to Carl and Shirley Brannon. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings Terry, Tammy, and Nancy Brannon.
She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, John Hohman, her devoted daughter Lyndsey (Dave) Adams, and her cherished grandchildren Grace Adams and Luke Adams. She is also survived by her brother Randy (Sandy) Brannon, sister Denise Brannon, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Kathy was a devoted stay-at-home mom who poured her heart and soul into caring for her family. Her infectious laugh, beautiful smile, and heart of gold endeared her to all who knew her. Eleven years ago, Kathy and her family moved from Chesterfield, MO, to Lakewood Ranch, FL, where she found absolute paradise.
A woman of strong faith, Kathy was a devout Christian and a faithful member of Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Lakewood Ranch, FL. Her faith was a guiding light in her life, bringing her comfort and strength in times of joy and sorrow.
One of Kathy's greatest joys in life was becoming a grandmother. Affectionately known as "Grammy," she showered her grandchildren with unconditional love, filling their lives with warmth and joy. Every hug, every story, every shared moment and memory was a treasure she held dear.
Kathy will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and faith will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched. May she rest in peace, reunited with her loved ones in the arms of her heavenly Father.
A private Celebration of Life will be held in Lakewood Ranch, FL. A mass and Celebration of Life in St. Louis, MO will be planned at a later date.”
