Charlene Kay Klinker
February 5, 1942 – May 6, 2024

Charlene Kay Klinker, 82, of Columbus, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024 at Keepsake Village. Charlene was born February 5, 1942 in Grand Rapids, MI to Charles and Eathel (Chadwick) Maddocks. They preceded her in death.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Philip L. Klinker, in 1981.
Charlene was a former Teacher Assistant with B.C.S.C. for 29 years. She was a member of The Ridge, where she worked in various children’s programs for over 40 years. She also enjoyed bowling, singing in the choir and most of all being a grandma.
Survivors include her loving son, David (Melanie) Klinker of Columbus; three grandchildren, Philip (Briana) Klinker of Franklin, Derrick Klinker of Indianapolis, and A.J. Klinker of West Lafayette; brother, Charles (Kathy) Maddocks of Cedar Springs, MI; and sister-in-law, Sherry (Kerry) MacIntosh of Roxboro, NC.
A funeral service will be held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at Myers-Reed Chapel with Pastor Jerry Day Jr. officiating. Visitation will also be Tuesday from 4:00 pm until the time of service.
Burial will take place at a later date at Rosedale Memorial Park, Grand Rapids, MI.
Memorials in her name are suggested to either the Care Fund at The Ridge or the Alzheimer’s Association.
