Ginny was born on July 19, 1927 in Chillicothe, Ohio to the late Floyd and Ella Hertenstein. She graduated from Chillicothe High School. She was a 60 plus year member of Beta Sigma Phi International Sorority. Ginny worked as a secretary with Ross County Board of Elections, and then she retired after many years as secretary of HER Realtors in Columbus, Ohio. Her faith was very important to her, and she was a long time member of the Methodist church. She was a lady ELK member of Chillicothe.
Ginny was a loving wife, mother and friend. She was a social butterfly and never knew a stranger. She loved travelling, especially cruises with her nieces. Ginny loved winding down with a glass of red wine. Ginny and her son would go yearly to Little Brown Jug in Delaware.
In addition to her parents, Ginny is preceded in death by her brothers, Wayne, Kenneth, Clark and Eugene Hertenstein; her close sister-in-law, Claribel Hertenstein; her first husband, John Norris; and her second husband, Don Marsh.
Ginny is survived by her son, John “Jay” Norris; her many nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be on Monday, May 13, 2024 at 12:00pm Noon to 1:00pm. A Funeral Service will follow at 1:00pm with Pastor Sharon Beattie officiating. Ginny will be laid to rest at Northlawn Memory Gardens.
