He was born July 18, 1941 in Charleston, the son of Ralph and Ida Santrock Peck. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Jeane, and sisters, Linda Taylor and Bonnie Shaw.
Donald was retired from Union Carbide and was formerly employed with Purity Maid Bakery. He was a US Army Veteran having proudly served in Germany and South Korea. He was a member of F.O.E and Charleston Moose. Donald was free spirit and independent thinker. He loved camping and fishing. A loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend that will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his sons, Donnie Peck (Lisa), of Nitro, Gregory (Michele), of Charleston, grandchildren, Benjamin, Matthew, Zachary, McKinsey, and Sydnie, 5 great grandchildren, brothers, William M. Peck, and Harry L. (Draza), sisters, Carol Sue Midkiff (Keith), Clara Ruth Midkiff (Ed), Pamela A. Ross (Jon), and Joyce M. Morris.
Celebration of Donald’s life will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at Tyler Mt. Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Norvell officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mt. Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes with Military Graveside Rites conducted by St Albans VFW Post 6418 and American Legion Post 73.
Gathering of family and friends will be from noon until time of service at the funeral home.
