Eduardo P. Camacho, a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, and respected member of this community, passed away on Friday peacefully at the age of 89 surrounded by all his family and Irene, his cherished companion of 8 years. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 56 years, Amelia Camacho. Together, they raised a beautiful family of five children: Analinda, Stella (Art), Olga, Eddie Jr. (Jenny+), and Christopher (Won Yung). His memory will also live with his grandchildren: Jacinto, Pablo+, David, Jia, Mina and Yuna.
Eduardo worked for over four decades at Southern Pacific Railroad, where he served with dedication and distinction. Simultaneously, he shared his knowledge and experience as an elementary school teacher in the Ysleta Independent School District. His commitment to service also extended to his country, as he dutifully served overseas in the US Army for two years. He was a proud graduate of Bowie High School and UTEP.
Eduardo’s dedication to his family was unwavering, as he selflessly provided love, guidance, and support to each member of his family throughout their lives. He leaves behind a lasting impact on his children and grandchildren, who will carry his memory with them always. Eduardo's warm smile, kind heart, and wonderful sense of humor endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him. And his legacy of kindness, integrity, and hard work will continue to inspire generations to come.
