Obituary of Debra A. Clark
On May 13, 2024, Debra Anne Clark of Evansville, Indiana, died at the age of 71. Debbie was born on February 22, 1953, to Carolyn (Davis) Cirricione and Joe J. Cirricione of Moline, Illinois. She graduated from Erie High School in 1971. She then attended Lincoln Christian University. During her time at LCU, Debbie was a cheerleader, sang in the Gloria Choir, and was part of a trio called Comfort that recorded two albums. She graduated with a BS in Christian Education in 1975. Shortly thereafter, she was married to Jerry Clark on June 14th, 1975. In the fall of 1975, Debbie began work at the University of Southern Indiana. She worked in the David L. Rice Library for 44 years as the circulation manager, and served as the on campus advisor for Student Christian Fellowship. Upon retirement in December of 2021, she received Emeritus status. Debbie served alongside her husband Jerry at First Christian Church of Evansville, Indiana, for nearly 50 years. She also raised two incredible sons who are both pastors in Central Illinois and Southern Indiana. Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Carolyn and Joe Cirricione, her brother Dennis Cirricione, and her father-in-law, James William Clark. Debbie is survived by her husband of nearly 49 years, Jerry Clark, her two brothers David (Pam) Cirricione and Doug (Georgia) Cirricione and sister-in-law, Cindy Cirricione, her two sons Matthew and Andrew Clark, her daughters-in-law, Lindsey and Abby Clark, her mother-in-law, Nadine Clark, and her four grandchildren, Preston, Elias, Madison, and Simon. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m on Thursday, May 16, at First Christian Church, 2845 Beaumont Drive, Evansville, Indiana, officiated by Dr. J.K. Jones, with burial to follow in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends and family may visit from 9:00 a.m. until service time at church.
