Alexander Funeral Home-East Chapel
Michael Lee Marshall, Sr., 82, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2024. He was born on January 15, 1942, in Huntingburg, Indiana, to Hollis Leroy and Wanda Lee (Beard) Marshall.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Roxie Marshall Mayer.
He is survived by his son, Michael Lee Marshall, Jr. (Rhonda); daughter, Melinda Lee Marshall Cote; grandsons, Justin Michael Marshall (Chelsea) and Logan Michael Marshall (Aubree); granddaughters, Holly Weyland and Ashlee Cote; great-grandchildren, Archie and Jordyn Marshall, Addison, Charlotte, and Naomi; sister, Deborah Lee Marshall; and several cousins.
Michael Lee Marshall, Sr. "Mickie" loved life. He was a true family man. After returning to Boonville from Eglin Air Force Base in Florida, Mickie started Marshall Dental Lab in his home. He was self-employed. Mickie was happy collecting rocks in a stream, looking for arrowheads, fishing, camping, and gardening. He was a VFW and American Legion member, enjoying the camaraderie, dance, and music.
Mickie loved all of his grandchildren. He was Justin and Logan's number-one fan on the baseball field, rarely missing a game. Grandpa was always there, in his cowboy hat, cheering them on.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Alexander East Chapel, with Elder Rhonda Marshall (Community of Christ) officiating. Friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
