Glenda was born December 11, 1929 in Centralia, IL to Edward and Edith (Clow) Monroe. She married Eugene Ozbun and he preceded her in death on November 14, 2004.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and eleven brothers and sisters.
Glenda is survived by her loving family, including her two daughters, Diana (Gary) Wilson of Granite City, IL and Karen (Keith) Precht of St. Louis, MO; grandchildren, Sheri (Shane) Stacey of Loveland, OH, Gregory (Kristin) Precht of St. Louis, MO, and Bradley (Hashini) Precht of Monroe, NC; great-grandchildren, Elijah, Elizabeth, Mila and James; and one sister, Judy Pickle of Granite City, IL.
Glenda worked as a beautician for many years. She then worked as a hostess for Ravanelli’s Restaurant in Granite and most recently in Collinsville, IL.
Glenda grew up during the depression, as one of thirteen children. This taught her valuable lessons she would carry with her throughout her life. She had a servant’s heart, often donating her time, energy and money to others, whether it be for school supplies, to food pantries or other organizations to ensure others did not go without.
Her warm smile and kind, generous spirit will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
To continue her legacy of helping others, the family encourages all memorial donations in her name to be given to a local food pantry to help others in need.
Glenda was also an active member of Nameoki United Methodist Church in Granite City, IL.
A private immediate family graveside will be held at a later date at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
