Blaga Petrova Dragneva

Blaga Petrova Dragneva, 62, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends on Wednesday evening, May 8, 2024, after a long and hard-fought battle with cancer. Originally from Asenovgrad, Bulgaria, Blaga and her family moved to the States in 1996, eventually relocating to their new hometown of Fort Wayne in 1997. An accomplished singer, Blaga met her husband on the music stage. She took pride in raising her kids, always being there for family and friends alike, and being a welcoming host and mother figure to many in the community. A wonderful and supporting wife, mother, and sister — Blaga is survived by her husband, Dr. Peter Dragnev Sr. (Fort Wayne, IN); her son and daughter-in-law, Peter and Dawn (Turner) Dragnev Jr.(Indianapolis, IN); her daughter and son-in-law, Lilly Dragnev and Rolando Soto (Oakland, CA); and her sister, brother-in-law, and niece Milena, Nikolai, and Venera Kovachevi (Asenovgrad, BG).
