after a brief battle with cancer.
Born on May 6, 1935, in Mainz Germany to Josefine (Ziegler) Nicolodi and Johann Nicolodi, Heidi was the youngest of three sisters. Her early years were spent surviving war-torn Germany during and after World War II.
After the War, Heidi became a hair stylist to help provide for her family and herself.
Heidi immigrated to the United States in 1959 at the age of 24 and became a citizen in 1960. She married Tony Pinello on June 27, 1961. Heidi and Tony built a home together out of a former milk barn on Tony’s property adjacent to the Pinello Ranch. Some of her happiest times were when her parents came from Germany to spend a few years together after John was born.
Heidi made the transition from being a stay-at-home mother to a business owner in 1987 with the opening of her business, Clear Springs Mini Storage. While she faced many challenges during this time, the business was a success.
Heidi met her companion Ron Van Brunt in 1998. Heidi and Ron spent time together making home improvements, bowling, and spoiling their pet dachshunds.
Heidi enjoyed many things in life including cooking and baking for her family and friends. She also had a genuine fondness for her customers. She was happy for them in times of joy and sad when they experienced difficulties. She will be remembered for her outgoing personality, strong work ethic and love of family.
Heidi was preceded in death by her late husband Tony Pinello. Survivors include son John Pinello
(Sherrie Pinello), grandchildren Sarah and Matthew Pinello, Ron Van Brunt, and nieces Georgia
Rock (Kerry Fordyce) and Linda Grassello.
