Although Evangelina was severely autistic and disabled, she lived her life to the fullest. She was very energetic with tremendous strength and defied the odds many times and never complained about her conditions. She always fought the good fight to be with her family for as long as she could.
Evangelina loved to sing and recite tunes by Disney Pixar Cars, Little Einsteins, Backyardigans, and her favorite Dora the Explorer. She found happiness and laughter in all of those shows. She loved coloring books, playing with her toys, electronics, and song books, but she found immense joy in spending time at home with her family.
Despite her conditions, Evangelina graduated high school through special education, and continued to be an inspiration to her family and loved ones.
Evangelina is survived by her father Victor Somoza and her mother Griselda Rodriguez Solano; her brother Manny Estrada, her sister Jessica Somoza and her brother Sebastian Somoza; her grandmother Martina Rodriguez and her grandfather Manuel Somoza.
Evangelina was preceded in death by her grandfather Manuel Rodriguez, and her grandmother Evangelina Somoza.
Evangelina will be deeply missed, but her legacy, strength and happiness will live on through those who knew her.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.stephensandbean.com for the Somoza family.
