John Carl Spalding was born on April 1, 1959, to Charles W. Spalding II and Nancy A. Spalding (née Neidhold) in Appleton, Wisconsin.
John is a veteran of several US conflicts and Served from April 14, 1978 to April 30, 1998. For his service, he earned a Meritorious Service Medal. He has served honorably in the Air Force, achieving the enlisted rank E-7 Master Sergeant.
He became a technical expert in the fields of network integration and secure communications systems, and directed many operations and became a well known and respected leader in his communities.
He proudly and courageously served the United States Air Force for 20 years during which he dedicated his service with honor.
He met his surviving wife, Sibila S. Kiryazova of Sofia, Bulgaria in Dallas, Texas and married on December 15th, 2007 in Collin County, Texas.
John’s experience in the Air Force played a very important role in his life. He frequently pointed out that the Air Force taught him the value of discipline, teamwork, and investing in a cause larger than himself. He would often explain how these values contributed to his success and through that mindset offered guidance with a glint of humor that struck people in a way creating laughter and joy as well as commanding respect and admiration.
John is survived by wife, Sibila Spalding (née Kiryazova), and his sister Debbie. They were able to be there for him during his final hours to give him support, strength, and love.
An Inurnment service with United States Air Force Military Honors will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at 2:15 PM at the Dallas- Fort Worth National Cemetery, located at 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211.
He will be grieved by many family and friends and surely missed but not forgotten.
