Carl attended St. Francis De Sales High School in Denver, Colorado and Colorado State University. He proudly enlisted in the U.S. Navy from 1957 to 1959 and served on the USS Midway CV-41. Carl married Carolyn Belsh in 1963, in Denver, Colorado. The couple had one daughter, Tamara and one son, Robert. He worked for the Colorado Department of Transportation as Head Surveyor. Over the years, the family resided in Loveland, Trinidad, Pueblo and Denver. He and Carolyn recently moved to Greeley to be near family.
Carl was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church of Greeley, the Men's Bible Study Group, the Greeley Elks Club, the Pueblo Elks Club, the Old Ford Club, and the Hi-Country Regional Early Ford V-8 Group of America. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He enjoyed spending time with his family, cooking and rooting for the Denver Broncos. Carl also enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing, and cruising around in his Ford. He collected Texaco memorabilia and frequently visited Blackhawk casino.
Carl is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn, son, Robert (Laurel) O’Loughlin, daughter, Tamara Sue (Daniel) Clang, grandchildren, Matthew, Renee, Timothy, Jonathan and Benjamin Clang, and AnnaMarie and Warren O’Loughlin and sister, Diane Arbogast.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A Visitation for Carl will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Allnutt Funeral Service - Macy Chapel, 6521 W. 20th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80634. A Funeral Service will occur Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Episcopal Church, 3800 W. 20th Street, Greeley, CO 80634. A reception following service will be held Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Trinity Episcopal Church, 3800 W. 20th Street, Greeley, CO 80634. Interment will occur Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at 9:30 AM at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W. Kenyon Ave, Denver, CO 80236.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Episcopal Church in Greeley.
