Tish Fulenwider passed away peacefully on May 13, 2024 at the age of 89. Her given name was Nancy Letitia, but to most who knew her she was Tish. She was born on November 26, 1934 to Charles and Gladys Arnold in Alicia, Arkansas.
After graduating from Walnut Ridge High School she attended Henderson State Teacher's College where she met the love of her life, Don Fulenwider. They were married in 1954 and enjoyed 62 years of marriage.
Tish loved her family dearly and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church and was the founding director and teacher of the the First Methodist Kindergarten in 1968, which has grown into what is today The Child Development Center. She also served on many committees at the church as well as the Board of Stewards.
After 29 years she retired from teaching and became a realtor with a long and successful career.
She was a member of Jr. Auxiliary, Grow and Show Garden Club, Criterion Club, Pacesetters Dance Club, OTC Investment Club and she was inducted into the Circle of Roses by the Arkansas Federation of Garden Clubs.
She was predeceased by her parents and her husband Don Fulenwider.
She is survived by her daughter Lea Ann Robicheaux and son-in-law Mick, her son Steve Fulenwider and daughter-in-law Lori, and her grandchildren Erin (Steven) Rice, Kyle (Missy) Bogard, Page(Joseph) Kanopsic, Melissa (Kenneth) Smith, Matthew (Alexandria) Fulenwider, Marc (Rachel) Robicheaux, Ryan (Lindsey) Robicheaux. Great grandchildren John, Jack and AnnaClaire Rice, Wrenley Smith, Henry Kanopsic, Emma, Ellie,Ty and Robin Robicheaux. Her sisters Jeanetta Teague and Elizabeth Fowlkes and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff of Elijah's Place at Mt. Carmel at the Village and to Hospice Home Care for the excellent and loving care she received.
A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church on Monday, May 20 at 11:00 o'clock, followed by a reception. Burial will be at Crestview Cemetery.
The family requests memorials be made to First United Methodist Church of Hot Springs.
