Jean was born in Haverhill, Massachusetts on May 19, 1942. She had many different jobs during her life but her most precious was being a wife, mother, and grandmother. Jean lived in California and Missouri before finally settling in Texas.
Jean loved to paint, crafts, sculptures, sew, and cook. She loved finding new recipes and cooking them. Paul was the taste tester. She also loved to play dominoes with her husband, Paul, and special friends, Phyllis & DeeDee.
Jean/Grandma Jean was known for her sweet tight hugs, kisses, and telling you she loved you. She did this every time you saw her and when you were leaving. Those will be greatly missed by her family.
Jean is preceded in death by her beloved son, Glenn Cruzado, her mother, Mary Elizabeth Blinn, her sister, Donna, her son-in-law, Dean Nordman, and many other relatives.
Jean is survived by her husband of 21 years, Wilbert Paul Steward, and her children: Craig Bodkin (Carolyn), Keith Cruzado (Lesa), Cindey Nordman, Michael Steward (Lisa), Deanna Gatlin, Tamara Wiland (Tim), Sherri Pollard (David), David Steward, Steve Steward. Jean had 21 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. And many more relatives and friends.
A memorial service for Paula will be held Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at 2:30 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039.
