Obituary of Amy Marie Stimpson
Amy Marie Stimpson, age 65, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, May 5, 2024. She was born on January 27th, 1959, the youngest of seven to Charles E Roedersheimer and Ethel H. (Blome) Roedersheimer in Parkersburg, West Virginia. She attended Parkersburg Catholic High School and went on to graduate from the University of Dayton with a Bachelor's in Psychology. Amy was a faithful member of Saint Matthew Catholic Church, where she served on the Spiritual Life, Stewardship, and Haiti Committees, and taught Beginning Church for years. Her service was recognized with the Msgr. Busald Award (2005) and St.John Bosco Award (2015). She dedicated her career to serving others along with raising her children. She began her career with Chubb Insurance in Cincinnati, retiring from Community Hospital in Indianapolis in 2023 as a Patient Service Representative. Amy generously volunteered her time in her neighborhoods of Devonshire V and Shadow Ridge, making a positive impact wherever she went. Amy is survived by children, Kelly Goudreau (Travis), Molly Stimpson, Colleen McCormick (Dean), Patrick Stimpson; grandchildren Nicholas and Bradley Goudreau, and Kaia Deary all from Indianapolis; sister, Lois Dobradenka (John) Shelby Township, MI; brothers, Charles Roedersheimer (Alice) Kettering, OH, Edward Roedersheimer (Kathy) Parkersburg, WV, Joseph Roedersheimer (Cathy) Parkersburg, WV, Peter Rodersheimer (Carolyn) Washington, PA, David Roedersheimer (Beth) Marietta, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband of 22 years Robert (Bob) and her parents. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 from 4PM to 8PM at Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary, 2126 E. 71st Street, Indianapolis, IN 46220. A visitation will continue on Thursday, May 16, 2024 from 10AM to 12PM at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 4100 E 56th St, Indianapolis, IN 46220 with a Mass to follow. Amy will be laid to rest with her husband at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery. In lieu of flower, memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthew Catholic Church, 4100 E. 56th St., Indianapolis, IN 46220.
