Wai Pang Chan

Wai Pang Chan was born on January 9th, 1934 in Hong Kong. There, he grew up and had jobs as a librarian and aircraft technician. He was married to his wife of 56 years in 1967. He immigrated to the United States in 1974 with his wife and two sons in tow. They chose Colorado to be near his family who had already settled there; and had their third son. Wai Pang established a career as an assembly technician in Louisville, CO. He spent the rest of his life in Colorado being a dedicated father, faithful husband, doting grandfather, gracious friend, generous brother and a servant to his community at the Chinese Evangelical Church of Denver.

Wai Pang went to be with the Lord at the age of 90 on May 9th, 2024, at home with his devoted wife by his side. He is survived by his wife, See Yue Chan; three sons, Kadett (Cher), Kiev (Phillina), Karl (Andrea); grandchildren, Ashley, Shelby, Hailey, Kendrick, Kaleb; sisters Selena Sing, Fong Wong (William); brother Wai Keung Chan (late Dora); and many nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces.

The Chan family will be hosting a brief placement ceremony for friends and family on Saturday May 18th, 9:45am meeting time, 10am ceremony. The service will last approximately 30-35 minutes. For those attending, please follow the instructions below:

Please arrive before 9:45am through the main entrance of the cemetery. Follow the main road and line up behind a group of cars behind a black car (we will be on the right side, near a sign with the letter 'B'). Do not park in a parking lot, or exit your car after you line up. When everyone arrives, the black car will lead everyone to the Tower of Memories where we will be instructed to park. Once parked, please make your way to the 8th floor (exit the elevator and go left).
