Robert “Bob” Reiss passed away on May 9, 2024 in Las Vegas, NV, he was born February 15, 1932 in The Bronx, New York to Betty and Edward Reiss and had one sibling, Burt Reiss. He served honorably in the military in Germany and then obtained a bachelor of science degree in chemistry at Adelphi University in Long Island, New York. He went on to become an environmental scientist working in private industry and for various government health regulatory agencies in New York, California and Nevada.
Bob lived a long and beautiful life and his extraordinary sense of humor touched everyone who had the good fortune to know him. Chief among them are his survivors: his wife Thelma Reiss; his children, Ellen Goldfarb and Jay Reiss, and
their spouses Gregg Goldfarb and Rebecca Feldman; his stepchildren, Janet Lazarus, Alan Lazarus, and David Lazarus and his spouse Cheryl Lazarus; his grandchildren, Arianna and Lauren Goldfarb, Sylvie and Joni Reiss, Trevor and Blake Feldman, Sabrina and Matthew Lazarus, Alicia Stansfield, Ryan Lazarus, and Michael Lazarus; and his great-grandchild, Kendall Stansfield.
Bob enjoyed playing cards, traveling and spending time with his family.
Funeral and burial services will be held on Monday, May 13 at 8AM at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV 89005, with Rabbi Simon Bergman officiating.
