Pinkney Crouch Greene, 82, of Monroe, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2024 at Runk and Pratt Liberty Ridge.
Born on May 10, 1941 in Campbell County, she was the daughter of the late John A. Crouch and Hattie F. Crouch. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
Pinkney retired from Hanson Porcelain and was a member of Marsh Memorial United Methodist Church and had attended Thomas Road Baptist Church in her later years. She also had a passion for coloring pictures, finding joy in bringing life to every stroke of the pencil or brush. She delighted in creating beautiful works of art and sharing them with family and friends on special occasions, from holidays to birthdays. She also found relaxation and pleasure in solving word search puzzles. She had a knack for unraveling the complexities of these puzzles, finding satisfaction in each word discovered amidst the jumble of letters.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Calvin E. Greene, Jr.; two daughters, Kathy Thomas and Melissa Harville (William); four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a brother, Eddie D. Crouch and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral service celebrating her life will be conducted on Friday, May 10, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Jarrett Banks officiating. Interment will follow the service at Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, starting at 12:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
