Joseph Carter Cariaga

Joseph Carter Cariaga, 14 of Madison Heights, passed away Friday May 3, 2024 after a brief illness. He was born in Lynchburg on January 13, 2010. Joseph was in the 8th grade at Monelison Middle School. He wanted to be an engineer and was a member of Lego Robotics of Monelison. Left to cherish his memory are his loving parents, Jeremie and Melissa Cariaga; two brothers, Mason Anthony Cariaga and Alexander Ashe Cariaga; maternal grandparents, Carlton Burch, Jr. and Mae Burch; paternal grandparents, Debbie Coronel and Melvin Carter Franklin; maternal great grandparents, Sylvia Funk and Jessica Burch. He is also survived by several aunts and uncles, Daniel Raqual, Bianca Coronel-Yamamoto, Katie & Brandon Carter, Cynthia Burch and Carlton Burch, Jr. as well as numerous other great uncles, great aunts and cousins. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at the family home, 1215 Izaac Walton Road, Monelison. In lieu of flowers please bring a live plant or flower that can be planted at the family’s home.
