Obituary of Lottie Mae Woods
Lottie Mae Woods, age 76, passed away on May 12, 2024. She was born on January 22, 1948, in Nelson County, Virginia, to James Morris and Georgia Wright Morris. Lottie was the beloved wife of the late Roger Neal Woods Sr. Lottie was a woman of strong opinions and a warm heart. She had a passion for cooking, especially renowned for her delicious yeast rolls. She cherished the holiday seasons, finding joy in gathering with her family, including her children and grandchildren. Lottie's favorite pastimes included watching TV shows like "The Waltons" and "Gunsmoke." Lottie is survived by her loving family, including her children Rhonda Woods, Joanne Mullins (Davy), and Roger Jr (Teresa); grandchildren Crystal Ziegler (Daniel), Davy Mullins Jr (Audri), Frankie Mullins (Shianne), Allyson Forslund (Brandon), Hannah White (Josh), and Haley Shelton; great-grandchildren Bella Woods, Easton Mullins, Autumn Mullins, Isaiah White, and Stella Forslund; and sister Minnie Ogden. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Roger Neal Woods Sr., grandchild, CJ Woods, and sister, Queen Viar. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Centra Hospice for their compassionate care of Lottie. Special thanks go to Joanne Mullins for her dedicated care and for keeping Lottie in her home. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024, from 6 to 8 pm at Whitten Monelison Chapel in Madison Heights, Virginia. The funeral service will take place on Friday, May 17, 2024, at 11 am, also at Whitten Monelison Chapel. Lottie will be laid to rest at Altavista Memorial Park in Altavista, Virginia. Whitten Monelison Chapel is assisting the family during this time.
