On Saturday, May 11th 2024, Veronica Gayotin, 59, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away, entering her Heavenly home. Veronica was welcomed in the arms of Jesus. She was a Godly woman who loved the Lord and her family and set an example for her children, wanting to leave the legacy of knowing Christ - which will lead them all their lives and generations to come. Veronica was born in Stockton, California on August 15, 1964, to Norma and Charles Jones.
She met her husband, Chris in 1989. They were best friends for 35 years and they were married about 33 years ago on August 6th, 1991. Initially in corporate roles, she later prioritized raising her daughters after relocating to Cincinnati, Ohio. With a 17-year tenure at Procter & Gamble, Veronica's career path evolved into education, culminating in roles like Purchasing District Manager for Lakota Local Schools for 19 years and later as a consultant. Despite her professional drive, Veronica's devotion to family and faith remained unwavering. Known for her prayerful nature, she radiated a gentle strength, embodying the essence of a Proverbs woman—trustworthy, diligent, and compassionate. Her spirit illuminated every room she entered, and her legacy of love and laughter will forever reside in the hearts of her loved ones. She and her husband lived in West Chester, Ohio for 27 years and recently relocated to Marietta, Georgia in 2021.
Veronica loved her Savior, the Lord Jesus, with all her heart, and she loved God’s Word. Though she was a humble, gentle woman, Veronica was nonetheless a powerful prayer warrior, and only heaven knows what a wonderful and eternal impact all her many years of faithful praying have had on her family, her friends, and the community around her. Her spirit is so bright, if she could light up the whole room here on earth then her spirit could light up the whole sky. Veronica was known for her compassion and kindness, both within her family and towards others. Veronica was a fighter, doing her best to fight the disease yet she also was so strong in character. She carried herself with dignity and honor. Her worth was not just in her external qualities but also in her reverence for God that overflowed into a life of spiritual maturity and wisdom.
Veronica is survived by her mother, Norma Jones, brother, Don Jones, husband, Chris Gayotin, eldest daughter, Victoria Gayotin, and youngest daughter, Nicole (Gayotin) and husband Garrison Coney. Veronica is so loved and her love, light, laugh and big smile will forever be ingrained in our hearts and memories. We know that God is pleased to have one of His kind back in his arms, where she belongs. She will be so missed by those here on earth. We thank God for the gift he had given us a beautiful soul as we were all touched by her. This is just the beginning, and we can’t wait to see you again soon. John 11:25-26 "Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me, even though they die, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die.'
