Colette Roberts Bancroft was born on October 27, 1966 in Cedar City, Utah to Sandra Evans and Gary Roberts. She passed away suddenly, in her home, on May 9, 2024. Her mother said, "Born with thick black hair, she was the cutest thing". Being premature, Colette was required to stay in the hospital. Sandra made the journey 7 times a day, every day, to hold her hand until she was able to come home 6 months later. Despite early health problems, she became a very active and rambunctious child. The highlight of her youth was frequent trips to Grandma Dixie and Grandpa Farris' house with her sister, Christy. Colette was a passionate, free spirit who had a way of finding beauty in every situation. She was creative and artistic, with a deep love for books, music, and crafting. Colette spoke to her best friends; her mother, Sandy, and step-father, Barry, every day.
She embraced the journey and the adventure of life by taking road trips and exploring with the love of her life, Arthur Salazar, and their dogs. Never leaving each other's side for 42 years, the two of them accumulated an extensive rock collection which she cherished. Colette's motto for life was, "It's the little things in life that make me happy".
Colette is survived by her mother, Sandra; father, Gary; step-father, Barry; sister, Christy (Rock); husband, Arthur; 2 daughters, Amber and Breezie (Armando); 5 grandchildren, (Adrian, Bianca, Logan), and 1 great grandchild (Amiliano).
Services for Colette will be on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park and Mortuary; 3401 S. Highland Dr. Millcreek, Utah 84106
