Virginia Raspanti Ajubita, 102, of New Orleans, Louisiana was born on November 7, 1921, and passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, May 5, 2024, in the company of her children. Together, with her husband of 68 years, the late Capt. Adolph M. Ajubita, they had four loving children, Jeanne Ajubita Simmons, Albert Ajubita (Kylin), Warren Ajubita (Tessy), and Vernon Ajubita. Their legacy grew to include nine adoring grandchildren, Emily Ajubita Walker (Quentin), Eric Simmons (Brittany), Neal Ajubita (Kari), Ashley Ajubita Leger (William), Justin Ajubita (Courtney), Michael Simmons (Lexi), Lindsey Ajubita, Amanda Ajubita, and Kristen Ajubita Hill (Caleb), nine great-grandchildren, and three more on the way. She is preceded in death by her husband, Capt. Adolph M. Ajubita; her son, Vernon Ajubita; her parents, Rosario Raspanti, Gaetana Bologna Raspanti, and Marie Bologna Raspanti; and her brothers, Joseph Raspanti and Gaetan Raspanti. After graduating from Dominican College, Virginia impacted the lives of children as a teacher at St. Leo the Great School. Throughout their marriage, she and her husband enjoyed traveling the world and spending time at their farm in Folsom, Louisiana with their family and friends. Virginia was devoted to her Catholic faith and found comfort and strength in her relationship with the Blessed Mother. Her family celebrated her life in a private ceremony at her parish, St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church. Virginia’s love, laughter, and spirit will forever be cherished by her family and friends.
