On May 12, 2024 Catherine Irene Latgis (nee Karavedas) passed away at home surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of the late James Latgis, Jr.; devoted mother of Aristea Daniels and her husband Danny, Christine Constantinides and her husband Nick, and James Latgis, III and his wife Mary; cherished grandmother of Stephanie Christ (Stephen), Lou Tagliaferro (Susan), Michael Constantinides, Melissa Allen (Todd), Stephen Constantinides, Jason Latgis (Mallery), Valery McCarthy (Corey), and Catherine Willison (Jason); loving great-grandmother of Maura, Laney and Jake Tagliaferro, Daniel and Stephen Christ, Grayson and Preston Allen, Michael, Annie, William, and Ben Latgis, Nate and Audrey McCarthy, and Nick and Caiti Willison; dear sister of the late Sam Karavedas (Mary), Christine Zorbis, and John Karavedas; loving sister-in-law of Marina Trossbach (Paul). She is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, her beloved dogs Katie and Lilly, and numerous other loving family members and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit at Schimunek Funeral Home Inc., 9705 Belair Rd. Nottingham, MD 21236 on Thursday, May 16, 2024 from 4-8 PM, a Trisagion Service will be held at 6 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024 at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church at 10:30 AM, where she will lie-in-state from 10AM-10:30 AM. Interment will follow at St. Demetrios Cemetery.
