He was born on February 18, 1950 to the Late Millard and Joyce Gadd in Hernando, MS. Millard served his Country Honorably in the United States Marines. He earned a National Defense Service Medal and Letter of Appreciation.
Scooter or Pops, as he was affectionately known, found solace in the great outdoors, you wouldn’t find him inside. His heart swelled with love for his cherished ducks, about whom he spoke with boundless enthusiasm to all who would listen.
Millard was a carpenter for over 50 years. He owned and operated Gadd Brother’s Framing. As a seasoned carpenter for over five decades, Millard thrived in his craft, relishing in the role of leadership and mentorship. His legacy extends beyond mere wood and nails; he shared his knowledge generously, nurturing the next generation of carpenters with patience and wisdom. Millard found joy in crafting wood calendars with precision and care.
But above all, Millard was a beacon of faith, his love for the gospel shining brightly in every interaction. He was a founding member and pastor at The Church at Stonewall, his teachings and memories will forever inspire and guide those whose lives he touched.
Millard was preceded in death by his parents, Millard and Joyce Gadd.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 55 years, Martha Gadd; three daughters, Bonnie Gadd, Trisha Watson (Neil), Melinda Harris; two brothers, Roger “Ookie” Gadd (Peggy), and Johnny Gadd. Pops to five grandchildren: Dylan Hughes, Avery Hughes, Klara Watson, Charlotte Watson, and Waylon Watson.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at 2:00 pm with visitation beginning at 12:00 pm at Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Hwy 305 N Olive Branch, MS 38654. Burial will follow at Emory Cemetery.
