She was born in Roane County, on May 5, 1934, to her late parents, Fernando and Chlora Cox Westfall.
As a little girl she loved farming and horses. A favorite story she shared was when she and her family cleaned the church she liked to stand in front of the church and pretend she was a preacher. She, her sisters, and friends would pretend to baptize each other in the creek. She loved to sing Sweet By and By and His Eye Is On The Sparrow.
In February 2000, she and her husband celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They loved each other, loved their family and friends. They loved life. Both were precious parents. Virginia loved to garden, fish, and enjoyed working. She worked at CCMH with Dr. (and Mrs. George Gevas), Bath Fitters, Mastectomy Services, Wolfe Camper Sales, and Kohls.
