Jeanne Olivia Myers, a beloved resident of Friendswood, Texas, passed away on May 9th, 2024, at the age of 92. Born on August 14th, 1931, in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of Mora and Josephine Hall.
Jeanne's life was marked by her deep devotion to family, her passion for teaching, and her unwavering faith. She shared 50 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, W. Gene Myers, until his passing. Jeanne's career in education spanned across Houston ISD and Pearland ISD, where she touched countless lives as both a teacher and a mentor.
Outside of her professional life, Jeanne found her greatest joy as a devoted stay-at-home mom and wife. She poured her heart into creating a warm and loving home for her family, cherishing every moment spent with them. A dedicated member of First Baptist Church of Friendswood, Jeanne's faith was a guiding light in her life.
Jeanne had a vibrant spirit and a love for the arts, finding joy in creating and appreciating beauty. However, her greatest passion was reserved for her family and friends, whom she treasured dearly. She especially adored the holiday season, with Christmas holding a special place in her heart.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gene Myers, her son Mike Myers, her brothers Mickey and Jeff Hall, her sister Betty Smith, and her grandson Adam Myers. She is survived by her sons Guy Myers (Gaylynn), David Myers (Frankie), and daughter Wendy Lopez (Ceaser), as well as her daughter-in-law Karen Myers. Additionally, she leaves behind 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jeanne Olivia Myers will be remembered fondly for her kindness, her warmth, and her unwavering love for her family. While she will be deeply missed, her legacy of love and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
