Jack was a skilled carpenter in the upstate of South Carolina for many years of his life. He was a loving and devoted husband, the best father to his children, and an even better papa to his grandkids and great-grandbaby. He was known for his big smile, kind heart, loud laugh, and telling jokes. Some of his favorite things to do were spend time with his family and watch westerns. He was a faithful member of Cannon Mountain Baptist Church.
Jack is survived by his wife, Ann, of Easley SC, and his two kids Joe (Cheryl Holliday) Ramey of Easley, SC, and Peggy (Shannon) McKee of Easley, SC; Five grandchildren Hayden (Hannah) McKee of Inman, SC, Brady Ramey of Easley, SC, Paisley (Jackson) Wood of Liberty, SC, Karlee McKee of Easley, SC, Kali McKee of Easley, SC and one great-grandchild, Isla Wood.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Polly Ramey; brother, Johnny Ramey; and his two sisters Eva Dell Reynolds, and Marie Hall.
A meal will be served at Cannon Mountain Baptist Church, 302 Woodlane Dr. Pickens, SC 29671 following the funeral.
A visitation for Jack will be held Thursday, May 16, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Dillard Memorial Funeral Home, 2402 Gentry Memorial Hwy. Pickens, SC 29671.
The funeral will be on Friday, May 17, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the chapel at Dillard Memorial Funeral Home, 2402 Gentry Memorial Hwy. Pickens, SC 29671 with burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park, 2410 Gentry Memorial Hwy, Pickens, SC 29671.
