Born in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late Frank Walsh and Hope Frances Gallager.
Hope was raised in Rhode Island by Hope Frances Vaillancourt and her step dad Bill “Val” Vaillancourt
She went to school in Marieville and three years of high school in North Providence and would graduate from Tolman High School, Pawtucket in 1973.
Mrs. McCutcheon worked part time at Hasbro until graduation then full time for 51 years retiring in 2024 as a data governance analyst. Hope was an avid bowler in ten pin bowling as she pretty much grew up in Lincoln Lanes because her stepfather Bill Vaillancourt was manager there. Hope would meet the love of her life Bruce at Lang's Bowlarama in Cranston.
Hope and Bruce were season ticket holders to the Providence Bruins for 25 years and big Boston Bruins fans as well. She was a avid fan of all the teams in the local area.
In addition to her beloved husband Bruce, Hope is survived by her daughter Hope F. Stack and her husband Andrew of West Babylon, NY, her adoring grandsons, Parker Henry Stack and Camden Nicholas Stack. She also leaves her brother Joseph Walsh.
Family and friends are invited to call May 16, 2024 from 5:00-7:00 pm in the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. A Funeral Service will follow in the funeral home at 7:00 pm.
