Peggy was born in Hinton, West Virginia to parents Charles and Lottie Whitlock on September 10, 1941. She retired after many years working at Omega in Aurora, Ohio and the former Oak Rubber in Ravenna, Ohio. Peggy was a member of New Beginning Fellowship Church in Kent, Ohio. She liked to read and really enjoyed working on crossword puzzles and staying in contact with friends on social media. Most of all she loved being around her family and especially loved visiting her brother Billy Whitlock in West Virginia.
Peggy is survived by her stepsons whom she loved as her own: Scott (Vicki) Ladd, Jay (Jane) Ladd, and Alan (Brenda) Ladd. Surviving also are her grandchildren who she was very honored to be called “Granny”: Stacie, Mary, Chris, Mike, Emily, A.J. Ladd and Hal Burr and 4 great grandchildren. Peggy also leaves many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews that will forever be reminded of the love and influence she has had in their lives. She loved all of us unconditionally. Also surviving is Pastor Tommie Nicholes, a very special cousin. Peggy also leaves her brother Billy Whitlock and stepsister Ilamae Morgan and Peggy’s special companion, Beau, will miss her very much.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill Ladd, her four brothers: Ira, Albert, Charles and Danny Whitlock and six sisters: Myrtle Parker, Madeline Cooper, Irene Shrewsberry, Evelyn Meadows, Janice Weikle and Betty Dowdy.
Cremation has taken place. The family is planning a Celebration of Life that will take place on a later date.
