Nino Robert Ciotta passed away suddenly on May 6, 2024, returning home to the Lord and all of the loved ones he had missed so dearly. He was 62 years old.
Nino was born to Robert & Agnes Ciotta on December 22, 1961; two days before Christmas, becoming the best Christmas gift they could have ever received.
At the young age of six, Nino was already employed and had his own little tool belt and hammer in hand as he worked along side his Dad and Uncle Rio on their many home construction projects. He learned the discipline of hard work by picking up scrap wood, nails and sweeping around the job site. Of course there was always a coffee break or two which he loved to drink even as a child.
He began his education at Emerson Elementary School in Rainier Beach and later after the family moved to Skyway, he attended Campbell Hill and Earlington Elementary schools where he established his cherished friendships.
During his high school years at Renton High, he worked after school for his uncle Remo at Borracchini's Bakery. Nino saved all of his paychecks to buy his first car, a silver blue 1972 Cadillac Eldorado, with his own personalized license plate -- NINO-1.
Along with his love of Cadillacs, he was extremely proud of his Italian heritage and made it known to all. He would sometimes even turn a friends name around to sound Italian.
After graduation, he attended Green River Community College where he received his Construction Certification. He later bought his own dump truck from a good friend of his
and went on to own an excavating business. After that, he started another business doing mainly construction and remodeling.
Through the years he established many wonderful, repeat customers that in turn became lifelong friendships.
He was known in the Skycrest area for working on virtually every house in the neighborhood. He took pride in his work, making sure every detail was perfect and that his clients were 100% pleased with
the final product.
Nino was an old soul with a kind heart who deeply cherished his friendships from grade school and beyond. He was always thrilled to run into someone from his past, giving
him the pleasure to reminisce about the good old days growing up in Renton.
Nino loved animals, old school music, political talk radio, but most important to him was his family and friendships.
Nino joins his parents Robert & Agnes Ciotta and leaves behind three sisters, Neena, Gabre & Anjell, niece Arianna, nephew Nico (Frannie & baby Harper), his uncle Rio, all of his beloved cousins and lastly his "little buddy" Tucker --the family dog.
Funeral services will be held on June 4th at 1:00PM at Greenwood Memorial Park 350 Monroe Ave NE, Renton WA 98056
Reception to follow.
