In 1964, April moved to Marietta, GA from Wapping, CT with her family. She has many fond memories of working as an executive secretary at Georgia Tech. She enjoyed going to Varsity for lunch. April also worked as a front desk clerk at Northwoods Motel and as a student registrar at Life University, where she found joy in her work and made many lasting friendships.
Above all, April cherished her role as a mother. She poured her heart and soul into ensuring her children had everything they needed and more. Her love knew no bounds, and her children were the center of her universe.
April will be cherished forever by her children, Kimberly Haynes, Tara Atkins (Raymond), and Tiffany Kirkley (Robert); grandchildren, Brandon, Hannah, Andrew, Skylar, Savannah, Kyle, Sylas, and Riley; great-grandchildren, Cooper, and the eagerly awaited Ruth. She was also a loving sister to her siblings, Bill, Adrienne, and Joy, and she embraced her extended family with open arms. April was preceded in death by her former husband and cherished friend, Richard Haynes.
April will be remembered for her kindness and unwavering love for her family and friends. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
