Donald loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a true outdoorsman and loved being outside. Donald spent his spare time hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed cooking, which he did for the entire family most Sundays throughout the year.
Donald had a full career, which began as an electrician and ended with Technology Program Management with Whataburger Corporate. However, he was a true warrior and served his country for 6 years as a Marine, managing Amphibious Tanks and then 10 years in the Army as a Firefighter.
Donald is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Lynn Glickstein; children: Andrew Glickstein and wife Leighanna, Vincent Rubei and Betty Rubei; grandchildren: Oliver Glickstein and Faye Glickstein; sister, Terry Lynn Taylor and brother, Danny Shannon as well as a host of loving friends and relatives.
A visitation will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm CST at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home 6321 Bandera Road San Antonio, Texas 78238
A funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at 9:00 am CST at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home in San Antonio, Texas.
Donald will be laid to rest at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with US Army military honors.
