Linda Jeanne Hodgson, (75), of (San Antonio, TX), went to be with her Lord on May 12, 2024 in Helotes, TX. As C.S. Lewis once said, “If you are reading that I have died, do not believe a word of it, for I am more alive than ever before.” (paraphrased)
Linda was born in Concord, MA to George H. and Evelyn Jean Hodgson on September 6, 1948. She went to school in Acton, MA. She graduated from Gordon College in Wenham, MA with a BA in Elementary Education. After graduation, she moved to Zion, IL and worked as a teacher for six years. She worked with her parents in their Christian Book and Supply store in Burlington, MA for five years before moving to San Antonio, TX. Linda taught 21 years at Northside ISD in San Antonio. She worked as a campus tutor for several NISD elementary schools and as a private tutor for 15 years. Linda also was a foster parent for 14 foster children prior to adopting her son. She dedicated her life to helping children and others in need.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents George and Evelyn Jean Hodgson.
Linda is survived by her son Richard M. Hodgson, her brother Richard A. Hodgson and his wife Deborah, her brother Mark S. Hodgson and his wife Sherri as well as two nephews Marc Hodgson and his wife Allison and Michael Hodgson. Linda is also survived by a great nephew Silas Hodgson and great niece Phoebe Hodgson
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at the Crossroads Baptist Church, 8300 Tezel Road, San Antonio, Texas with Douglas A. Diehl officiating.
